How to celebrate Keep America Beautiful Month
Small, tangible activities you can do this month to support your community and the places we share.
April is Keep America Beautiful Month, and across Nebraska it lines up with the first true stretch of pleasant weather. It is a good excuse to get outside with the people you advocate for, your neighbors, or just yourself.
A few ideas that travel well
Pick up a single block. Plant something native. Volunteer an afternoon at a local park clean-up. Bring a trash bag on your next walk along the Platte or the Missouri.
Make it a case visit
When it is age-appropriate, invite your CASA child to help. Outdoor, low-pressure activities are some of the easiest places to build trust — there is no eye contact required, and the work itself is a conversation starter.
Tag @NebraskaCASA if you post about it. We love seeing where in the state our advocates are showing up.
